04/18/20 Adoption Connection: Preparing for Open Adoption Part II

Learn about the Adoption Process in these two-part intensive workshops. Both workshops provide you with the necessary educational foundation for your adoption journey.

Registration for Parts l and ll are for homestudy clients of Adoption Connection only.

All Adoption Connection homestudy clients are required to register and attend Part I and Part II of the Preparing for Adoption Workshops. Attendance is mandatory, and each attendee will be given a certificate of completion after completing the second day of the two-part workshop.

Part II Topics Include:

• What Does the Hospital Experience Look Like in Adoption?

• Special Issues in Raising Adopted Children

• The Birthparent Relationship - Before and After Birth

• Understanding Adoption from the Perspective of Adoptive Parents, Birthparents, and the Adult Adoptee

Part II will include speakers who will share their personal experiences in open adoption, group discussions, the ability to ask questions in a supportive environment, and the opportunity to gain community and connection with other families starting their adoption journey.

Fees:

$150 per attendee for each one day session (Separate registration required for Part II)

Fee is nonrefundable and NOT transferable to a different event.
